Morning Sewing and a GIVEAWAY!!!

One of my favorite ways to spend a morning is to do some sewing. Its even more enjoyable with friends! A few weeks ago, Heather and Jess came over and we spent the morning sewing these adorable skirts for the girls! Such an easy pattern (and FREE from Oliver + S, my favorite!) and easy enough for even the beginner sewer (ahhem, Heather!). It took less than 1/2 yard per skirt, making them so cheap to make! I planned on whipping up a few more of them for Eden!

(photo proof that Heather made Avery's skirt!!!)

And if I have anything to do with it, Eden will learn to sew before she learns to hurdle:) I'm already getting a head start (shh... don't tell Josh!) .

Now for the Giveaway!!!!  You all love give-aways, right!? :) I've have these in the works for a few months and have actually sold quite a few already, but I haven't listed them on the website because I can't think of a nifty name... hence where you come in !!! I'd love to give one to whoever can come up with a clever name for these *clever* little bracelets!

Mother's Day Dress

So for Mother's Day I told Josh I wanted a new dress... so Eden and Josh went shopping on Saturday ...

After a melt-down in Target, I didn't end up with a dress:(

But I did get an hour of solitary sewing and I made this dress...

Am I do old for a pillowcase dress? Because Eden is making it look so inviting and I LOVE this fabric:)

CRAWLING!

Yes, you read that right - Eden is crawling! I'm sure many of you have seen the video I posted on FB, but in case you haven't, here's the link : http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=620592830215&ref=nf

Its so exciting to see her moving around and getting places - I'm quickly learning how UNchildproofed our house is! I've got to get on that soon.... We had Eden's IFSP (individualized family service plan) evaluation last week and it was so great to see how far she has come since we initiated all of her therapies last year.  Last year at this time, Eden wouldn't even reach for toys, roll, or make any sounds... so amazing to see the work God has done in her life!

Eden had her MRI yesterday to look at the ventricles again. Dr. Fuchs said that they looked slightly enlarged, but that the angle the "picutres" were taken at were different than the previous MRI. He explained that this could be the reason they look slightly larger - so he wasn't all too concerned. He does want to do another MRI in 4 months and go from there... until then, we're just monitoring her head size and development (which we've been doing all along) and we'll see him if any more concerns arise - I plan on none:)  Thank you so much for praying for Eden - it is evident that God's hand is upon her and that she continues to be lifted up by many!

a favorite of mine:)
